Re: Diets
I'm not really into dieting, to be honest.
But I'm interested to hear people's recommendations on this subject as I'm ready to try pretty much anything in order to lose weight so I can have my operation in December.
It's really important to me and I get really upset when I think about not being able to have it because my weight is up and down all the time and I just can't seem to shift anything now.

Re: Diets
To update, I started my own plan a short while ago. I'm basically taking the Weight Watchers plan, but having less calories than they've actually allowed me.
So, as a girl, my daily recommendation is 2000kcal, and according to Weight Watchers, my daily allowance is 1540kcal.
However, I've taken 540 off that, so that my daily preferance is 1000kcal. I can still have the 540 ontop if I need it, but I aim to stay as close to 1000kcal (or below) as possible.
I'm also aiming to drink the recommended 2l/2000ml (or more) of water a day, and exercise for 30minutes (or more) a day. But the food part is my main focus.
I'm keeping a diary of how this plan is going (very well), and I'm gonna be weighed by my doctor once a month, and I'll be taking my diary to him to show him what I've been doing.
I find the diary useful, not only because it enables me to keep count of what I've had during a day, but also because, when I total the day's kcal numbers up, it makes me feel good that I've kept under the 1540kcal limit (and especially good when I've kept under the 1000kcal goal). So it gives me a little pat on the back, and a little extra boost of encouragement to keep on track.

Re: Diets
I would recommend slimming world to anyone, Its such an easy plan to follow and its not even classed as a diet, It gets you into the way of healthy eating without needing to starve yaself or go hungry! I lost so much weight when I was on it and after a while you just sink into the healthy eating rather than having to stick to a book and count out how much of whatever you want etc.
I hate these miracle diets, stuff like that should be banned just because its so dangerous, ppl dont seem to understand that stuff like that can really mess you up inside, Well it can mess you up metally too!
