Singing

Right, some of you know I love to sing... I just suck at it. XP

I've sung for fun my whole life. It's something that always manages to pick me up when I'm down.

I used to be in a group with a couple of other girls and we used to sing together pretty much everyday (and I used to song write for them too). None of us had any vocal training, but we just loved what we did and we even used to sing infront of friends and family. And, as crap as I was, we still seemed to be able to get a harmony going acappella style. Yep, without any prior training.

I also used to do karaoke at various places, but my nerves were worse than when I was with the girls.

I'm now in the process of finally sorting myself with a vocal coach and starting from scratch though. I've rung around a few places nearby and, though they're all kinda pricey, I'm gonna check a few more places (any recommendations are welcome) before making a decision on who to go with (probably sometime next week).

Anyone else like to sing here?

Does in my shower count, and while I swing on my swing? 'Cuz if it does, then yes. But really, I've had no prior training, either, and I only stick to American Pie by Don McLean, Devil Went Down to Georgia by the Charlie Daniels Band, Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin and... choruses of various songs.

Why do you do it?

I love it. It's great fun and always cheers me up no matter what. ^_^

I like to sing along with my songs while I'm doing housework, it makes it seem much less boring. I used to sing with some guys I knew when I used to go camping every year. We didn't actually make a decent go of it, we just got together and sang along with the music that was playing, and we actually sounded quite good as we were all in harmony with each other

Agreed. Just singing along with songs makes everything all better. It helps neutralize my mood.
