    Just been looking at this game again on it's Official Site and, well... I must have it!!

    But this will probably require upgrading my PC... which I can't afford. ;_;

    Old thread, but Sims 3 is officially coming out on June 5th which is just under a week away! I just bought a new computer since my laptop borked, and I'm happy to say that it's going to run gorgeously on here Like a Star @ heaven I've pre-ordered it over at Game along with the strategy guide.

    Here is a comparison of Sims 2 graphics to Sims 3. As someone who spends most of her time decorating and building houses rather than actually playing, I'm looking forward to all of the little adjustments they've made in those areas, especially being able to tilt everything at a 45 degree angle without having to cheat.

    And because I'm all excited, here's some screenshots from Snooty Sims

    When I upgrade my laptop, or get a new one, I'll be making sure I'll be able to play Sims 3 without any problems.

    I can't wait to get this game!! X3

    I've been learning alot about it, and asking opinions of players.

    I've already been downloading custom content, and thinking of character names. The only problem is money. I'm gonna be jobless again in a couple of weeks, so I can't really afford to be buying games.

    I gots it!! I finally gots it!! X3 *wheeeee*

    Kaze bought it for me yesterday!! ♥♥♥♥♥

    On first play, I made a "test family", just so I could get back into the swing of things after not playing a Sims game for a good couple of years (wow), and also to see how this new version works.

    I've only got the base game at the moment, but that's all I want right now. I find it annoying that alot of Sims 2 players complain that Sims 3 doesn't have "this" or "that". Neither did Sims 2 until it's expansions started coming out.

    And I think it's good to have a limited amount to begin with. It gives you time to get to grips with how things works, enjoy everything you have right now, and getting your Sims the skills they want/need, before then having to learn a bunch of new stuff when an expansion comes out.

    One first play, without any custom content, I love it! The only cheat I played with was the Motherlode money cheat, and that was because I wanted them to have a bigger house, and be jobless for a little while so I could play with them all first.

    I'm planning to install some custom content (mainly clothes and hair styles) today, so we'll see how that goes. Installing stuff on Sims 3 works a little differently to how it worked on Sims 2, so I'm currently reading up on it and plan to follow it step-by-step. XD

    I very much love that you can change your Sims' weight, muscles, and bust. And you have the option of colour sliders too, so your hair doesn't have to be one shade of whatever. You can change four different tones, including roots and highlights. So you can have multi-coloured hair if you want, or just use the sliders to create a more realistic or unique shade.

    You don't need to shop for clothes, which is great (everything's already avalible in your wardrobe), but I think I'll miss the whole shopping experiance. It's nice to stand around in shops and meet new Sims.

    Shopping for food (and books) is also very simple. You walk/drive to the shop, and your Sims enters. You don't. And it gives you a whole list of things to buy. Again, nice in some ways, but boring in others.

    I think I'll leave it there for now. If there's anything you wanna know, ask away and I'll experiment. XP

    Oh, I'm also trying to decide what to name the SelfSims when I start making them. Before, my own Sim was called Pepsi (some of you might remember her). But I'm not sure if I should keep the random names I (and others) thought of, or if I should use usernames (meaning Pepsi would now be Kukikoi).

    Any thoughts? ^^;

    Here's a sneak peak at the Sims 3 version of Pepsi (I think she looks a little too grown up though... and her hair is parted the wrong way because I don't have anything better yet):

    There're more characters on my Facebook page, and there'll be a proper topic for them once they're ready. ^-^

    Sims 3, you are amazing!! I've only just discovered that you can have more than 1 of each type of outfit. Like, you can have more than 1 formal outfit, etc. So you can change to a different one, without losing your old one (which is great if you edit colours and patterns like me).
