by Seeing as recent status of mine over on Facebook seems to have sparked a mini-debate, I figured I'd make a proper topic over here for you guys.
Also, before anyone even thinks of it (coz it happens all the time), don't start with the "well, alcohol is worse" crap. Yes, alcohol has it's own set of problems and there'll be a topic for that too shortly, but you can't make one thing alright by attacking another. It doesn't suddenly mean choking the hell out of your friends is alright because "some people drink too much". ¬_¬
Anyways...
I'm really sensitive to smoke. And it effects me in bad ways. If someone's smoknig around me, it can cause headaches, sickness, pushy and watery eyes... the lot. But, even if I wasn't effected this badly, I'd still find it selfish the way most people who smoke don't give a damn who's around them when they light-up.
Alot of them will state that "it's my body, I'll do what I want with it". Yeah, and this is my body, so stop forcing your sh*tty smoke into it!!
And we don't always have the choice to just move away. And more to the point; why the f*ck should we!? They're the ones causing the problem.
If you wanna smoke: keep it to yourself.
