The Sims 2 Empty The Sims 2

Post by Fizzie Sat Apr 19, 2008 1:58 am

I've never played the original The Sims, but I love The Sims 2!!

Anyone else have views on this game and it's expansions?

I don't have any of the Stuff Packs, but I have all the expansions except for Bon Voyage and Free Time now. But I'll be getting those as soon as I can. Hehe!!

Any thoughts on The Sims 3?

I'm unsure if I'll be getting Sims 3 when it's released. Mainly because I don't wanna lose my current Sims. It'd be nice if Sims 3 let you tranfer your Sims from Sims 2.

Also, if the game's going to look and be so much bigger and better than Sims 2, then it'll mean upgrading my PC again. I actually upgraded my RAM last time just for Sims 2. =p So, what I mean is, I'll not only have to be paying-out for the game itself, plus all it's future expansions, but upgrading my RAM again, at least. Though I've been planning to get more RAM anyways. But you see my point, right? I think other Sims gamers may have the same money/upgrade things to think about and not just the game itself.

I'm happy with Sims 2 for now. Maybe when I get hold of a much better laptop than the one I've got now, I might think about getting Sims 3. I remember when they said Sims 3 was cancelled, I was actually gutted because I do like Sims, lol.

They're bringing out another expansion for Sims 2 now. Apartment Living. Basically, sounds like you can build appartments as well as just houses 'n' stuff.

I'd already done that as best I could without that pack, so I dunno if it'll be worth me getting. So there may be one expansion I actually don't get. Hahaha!!

Hopefully my Free Time expansion will come in the mail tomorrow! =D

Hmm... Actually, I played both of the versions. The Sims is a really good game, because you can play it for a very long time. I love both of the versions. The original one is very good because it's much easier to make the Sims be in a good mood - the graphic isn't that bad, also. And the Sims 2 has very good graphic, I was fascinating watching the chess: it really has all the figures, and if you zoom it very near, you will see that the moves are real! But, still, there are much more better games that I play. The Sims just becomes borning to me after month of playing...

    *shock*

    How can you say that!? O_O;

Nuh, just kiddin'. Each-their-own, an' all that.

I've seen a few pix from Sims 3 and it's pulling me in a little bit just because it finally lets you choose a number of different body builds and heights. No more having a choice only between thin and stupidly fat! And it's great that you can set the heights!!

I wonder what other features it will have

    *thinks*

Maybe I'll have a look around online to see what I can find

Hey, that's almost as good as sold it for me! I've been wanting to do those kinda things for... well, since owning Sims 2. Haha!!

Just that I don't feel happy with leaving my current Sims... I've worked hard on them, but more importantly; I'm attached to them!! I just can't kill them off!!

I'm also not sure I like the way the Sims look too realistic in Sims 3. I know it's meant to be a life simulator, but I like the way the Sims in Sims 2 look.

I think you should post the pictures you have of them (the ones you uploaded to Facebook) here so everyone can see. Cool

I recently discovered that Snowmen seem to attract Penguins. They like to come and talk to the Snowmen about... well... anything. XD

Seriously, I've been very tempted to put Sims 2 on this laptop. I've been looking through old pictures of Pepsi's life, and also remembering my old legacy families.

But, I also remember how much of a b@tch Sims 2 is to fully wipe from your computer. And, as I'm planning to get Sims 3 on here, I don't wanna have problems later.

Saying that though... I'm still tempted to give Sims 2 one last whirl before I end-up buying Sims 3.
