Buy seriously, from the small amount I've played the beta, this is awesome!!

If you preorder it from Play (and possibly other places, but I've not checked yet), you get a special free ingame item (along with the usual ingame stuff I think you get if you buy it after the release date). =D

Nope nope. It's also gonna be out for PS3, and apparently Xbox 360 too. Not sure if either of those platforms have preorder offers though. ^^;

360 it is for me, then; though if it turns out to be anything like FFXI, then people will have to pay for their XBL Gold account as well as Square Enix for the use of their server.

Actually, you could play FFXI on xbox live with only a silver membership (i.e. no monthly fee to microsoft, just the one to square enix).

But yeah, the beta was pretty shiny for this, can't wait to play the full game

FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which is scheduled to begin at 02:00 (GMT) on Sept. 1, 2010, will be postponed due to a confirmation of critical bugs. New schedule will be releaseｄ at a later date.

Along with the postponement of FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, the issuing of registration code for FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test will be postponed as well. With the download of client software's installer, it will be suspended at 02:00 (GMT) on Sept. 1, 2010.

Well, in true Square fashion, there's been nothing but problems so far. XD

It's taken me hours to get my key code, more hours for me to register it, and now it's taking me yet more hours just to get the game patched.

And so far, everything I've managed to do has been through links given to me by other people who had problems, not the links Square send out in their emails (if you follow their links; you'll get nothing but server errors).

I'm not attempting to patch a different way too. I'm downloading patches from other people's uploads. It's taking a little while, but it's better than the 26 hours it was gonna take to download part 1 or 4 on the actual client!!

Don't get me wrong, it hasn't put me off playing, because it was already an awesome game in it's early stages. But I hope we don't have this problem all over again when it's released officially.

Must... upgrade... must... not... miss... out... another... Final... Fantasy... >_<

I'm having so much fun on this now!! X3 I hadn't managed to much until recently because I'd just either been kinda busy, or just got distracted by something else. XD

But it's so awesome doing all the little quests. =D

And Kaze started a second character in one of the other starting points. I might make one to see what the other looks like (there're three at the moment). So then I'll have seen all three places before the official release, and be able to pick a nice one for my official character to start off. Hehe!!

I think this addiction is gonna be even bigger than my initial Ragnarok Online one (though I doubt I'll be getting rid of that completely). So um... best not to buy anything Sims 3 for a long time then. No one'll see me online if I have too many addictions going at once (coz let's not forget my Restaurant City one, all my anime ones, and all my other random ones too)!! XD

So, the limited edition has been released!! X3

And, in a week's time, the standard version will be too.

Just to let everyone here know, if you wanna join Kaze and/or myself, we're planning to be on the Mysidia world server.

What I'll do (for anyone that wants to, that is), is update the first entry of this topic with people's character names and server locations, so we can find eachother.

And if you want to include any other information, such as character race, job(s), etc (even a little character bio - which you can always edit as you go along), then I'll link your character's name to the post with that information in it.

I'm kinda thinking of starting a thread for my character(s), as, well, most of you know how my imagination can run away with me. XD So they'll probably end-up with a background, personality, and who-knows whatelse. And I don't wanna spam up this thread with all my character junk.

So I think I'll keep general character states and game discussion in here, and make a seperate topic for anything else. And you're all welcome to do the same. Most of us here love character creation and roleplaying, so yeah, feel free to unleash your imaginations (as always)!! =3
