Though the streets seem empty at first glance, anyone into ATs will know that these streets, as well as many others in many different areas, are being used by other AT users.

From beginner to professional, the majority of Storm Riders seem to prefer coming out at night. This can be for a variety of reasons. Some just prefer the free, empty space in which to practise their moves, or test their skills, or meet with a group of friends and/or fellow AT uses for casual skating and general gatherings.

But there are others, usually the more aggressive kind of skater, who come out at this time with other intentions. Parts Wars, particularly Underground Parts Wars, are most often held late in the evenings and during the night. This is primarly due to their illegal status within the police force. And in the case of Underground Parts Wars, it's evenmore so, as they're usually considered illegal amoungst many Storm Riders too.

It's unfortunate, but at the same time, the danger seems to add to the excitement for most of the Riders. Though it does mean some Riders will go to extremes to prevent from being caught... which, of course, can end-up leaving a bad repuation for others.

And like any other possession or hobby, there are those out with some less than innocent intentions. The gang types, and the typical thieves, who prefer to cause trouble, beat on, steal from, and in extreme cases kill, other Storm Riders, just for their parts, their own reputations, or just out of pure jealousy.

Air Trecks... something created for enjoyment, and something which has the potential to change the user's life amazingly, can become such a double-edged sword.

"God, would you just leave me alone." Keitaro shouted as he closed his bedroom door in his modest little 3 bedroom house. He leant back against the door and slumped to the floor. He pulled his legs up and rested his arms on his knees. He sat there for a few moments, waiting to hear his mum or sisters coming to speak to him, though he knew they wouldn't.

After a few moments had passed, he quickly dashed to his bed and pulled a box out from underneath. He opened the box to reveal his much loved Air Treks. He quickly pulled them on and his mood instantly changed. He opened his small window. He turned and looked at his door. He let out a sigh as he rolled over to the door and locked it. As the lock clicked, a smile crept across his face as he quickly turned and made a dash for his window. He pushed off with his feet and literally dove out of the window.

There's a strange heavy feeling in the air, as evening draws to a close, and night prepares to set in. And a lone figure in a hooded yellow jacket, stands on the platform of a fire escape, looking up to the sky as the clouds roll in.

And in a sudden burst of movement, the figure turns and grinds down the stair railings, using their ATs, before hitting the floor and speeding off down the street, almost as if they're following the clouds themselves as they head off in the same direction.

Keitaro's room faced the back of his house and out over the backyard. The yard was littered with his little sister's outdoor toys which included a swing set. After previous escapes from his room, Keitaro had moved the swing set closer to his window. Tonight, he had it in the perfect position. He fell headfirst towards the swing set. With his outstretched hands, he grabbed the bar at the top of the set and swung his feet down. He swung forward between two swings. Coming up to the highest point of the upswing, Keitaro let go throwing himself forward. His speed and momentum was enough to throw him clear across the garden. He landed on the grass and immediately leapt over the fence. Landing on the smooth tarmac, he quickly set off out into the night with no real direction, just enjoying the ride.

The figure in the yellow jacket and the dark bottoms, continues to ride through the streets, with their hood worn up, hiding most of their face. The street lamps light-up as the sky becomes darker, and the moon is already clearly visible. The air is fresh, and the streets seem almost empty.

Keitaro sped down the darkening street. Ahead he could see the street lights coming to life, shedding their light on everything around them. Keitaro pulled his scarf up over his nose and pushed off harder with his feet. He smiled wide underneath his red scarf as he tried to get ahead of the lights. The air whipped into a frenzy around him, tugging at his clothes as he rushed by. Though baggy, his clothes did not hinder his speed all that much. He was coming closer to the lights. He never won his little race, but it was always fun to try.

Riding on through the streets, the yellow figure soon realises they are not alone. Other riders are around, seemingly headed in the same direction, and there seem to be more and more of them further up the road, still all heading in the same direction.

Though it doesn't seem to be a dangerous situation, the figure leaves the main wave of skaters, heading up a ramp balanced on a parked skip, using it to ride up and jump off, heading towards the ladder of a fire escape on the side of a building, and grabbing it as it comes into reach.

Quietly, avoiding being noticed, they climb up the ladder until they reach the roof, then proceeding on their way. And whilst there are other Riders using the roofs to skate on, there seem to be alot less than those that are using the roads below. At least this, less crowded, way, they can make their way to their intended destination without anyone else getting in the way and slowing them down.

Soon enough, the race was over. The lights had reached the end of the street. Ahead, now, were two house with a fence running between them. The top of the fence was perfect to grind on and lead out over the roofs of buildings lower down. Keitaro leapt onto the fence and whizzed along it's length. The end of the rail approached fast. He threw himself out into the open air. He felt as if he could fly. He so enjoyed the feeling of freedom that he experienced during his airbourne moments, he wished they would never end.

Holding their hood in place with one hand as they zip around, jumping from one roof to another, the figure in the yellow jacket eventually skids to a stop. Looking down, a gathering of Storm Riders already crowds the street below. The area itself seems almost boxed-in, and the only way to get to it on the ground is through slipping between alleys. This was another reason some chose to take the roof ways, many of the inexperianced Riders would only clog-up around the alleys and slow everything down if they weren't used to going through smaller gaps and alleys.

Most of the Riders already gathered below would be Solo Riders, but there are some Team Riders who came along to watch alot of the time. Afterall, it's rumored that the Underground Parts War events were actually started by a former Team Rider.

For now, the figure waits on the roof top, still with their hood raised, making no attempt at eye-contact with anyone. But it probably wouldn't be long before they decended to the crowd, to get a better look at the battle when it starts.

Keitaro opened his eyes as he was soaring through the air. A roof began to make it's way in his direction, or rather him towards it. He quickly added some flair to his flight with a couple of tight flips and twists before straightening out for his landing. He came down hard on the flat roof, almost bowling a rather diminuitive rider in the process.
"Sorry!" He shouted back, slightly embarassed as he straightened himself out while glancing back for a brief second.

As he sped across the roof, he stole a look around. He noticed that there were many riders out tonight, which could only mean one thing, there was an underground meeting going on. Keitaro smiled wide beneath his scarf and dropped himself low, until his knee was scant inches away from his chest. He had one foot out in front of him and his arms stretched out behind him like a flock of birds in a 'V' formation.
'I should really invest in some goggles before too long' he thought to himself as his eyes began weeping from the cold air

Down below, right in the middle of the gathering, a smaller meeting is taking place. Seemingly, those actually involved in the first Parts War of the night are discussing the event. Unlike the usual Parts War where there was only usually one battle per night, Underground Parts War often had many. If the battles were lower ranked, and usually over quite quickly, or at least leaving plenty of space around for others to use, there was usually plenty of time and space for other challanges.

And whilst these challanges were usually registered on the website, there were usually one or two arranged on the spot.

Grinding down the building's fire escape, the figure in the yellow jacket heads down for a better listen. And it appears the first battle of the night is E Class ranked. These battles are known in both Parts War and Underground Parts War, as the Hurdle.

As with all battles, there's something new to learn for those who've not battled in this Class before. The move learnt or practised in the Hurdle, is to avoid objects.

The Hurdle battle is has the same basic princible as the Dash battle, used in F Class matches. It's a race to get from start to finish. Only this time there can be a number of objects to avoid or litterally get over, and these can be incredibly varied. The more experianced like to use buildings as their "hurdles", for more of a challange.

In some cases, moving objects such as cars and vans and even trains are used. But, apart from being more potentially dangerous, it can attract attention and put the battle, and all the surrounding Riders in even more danger of being raided.

Attempting to keep out of sight, the figure in the yellow jacket stays hidden amoungst the crowd, and in the shadows. They're not part of this battle, and they don't really want to draw any attention to themselves right now.

Mikado wakes up on the roof of the tallest building in the city. He rubs his eyes lazily and stands up his silver AT's Glittering from the city lights. He thinks to himself 'time to go' and jumps off the edge of the 97 story building laughing as he did so. He dances his way down the side of the building with his unique way of riding, the people inside the building admire him as he passes their windows. He uses his special move midnight's edge in which he spins so fast he looks like a silver reflective disco ball and speeds down the rest of the building.

Keitaro quickly approached the edge of the roof. He leapt from his already crouched position and missed the barrier by scant centimetres on his way up. he sailed over the alley below. He didn't add any tricks to his flight; he was too interested in getting to the Parts Wars.

While he enjoyed the freedom of being airbourne, he denied himself the airtime. He wanted to make good time, then he realised something quite important-
"Where is it?" He said outloud without realising it.

Mikado touches down on the ground with a fancy flip and does a 360 to see his surroundings of course he did not know where he was all he knew was that he wanted to dance. He put his hands down on the floor like a track runner and sprinted off along a dark alley and then grinded down a subway railing he though 'if i use the subway rails i can get around faster' so he rode the rail all the way down to the platforms.

As Keitaro reached the pinnacle of his relatively low flight, he saw it. He saw a group of people up ahead that indicated the presence of the UPW. He landed smoothly on the tip of a roof and grinded his way down it's length. Unfortunately, it did not take him all the way. He lowered himself to the ground and felt a surge of energy in his feet. His gears took him faster. His increased speed afforded him extra distance in his jump off the end of the roof, sailing clear over one roof and onto another. Now he could see more people at the gathering.

No more than a block away, he could already hear the sounds. Cheering crowds, wheels spinning. He wondered how long it would be before they got raided; when the real fun began. He slowed his approach as he made it onto the final roof. There was already quite a few people present on the roof, and it seemed a good place to begin. He rolled up to the edge and sat down with his legs dangling over the 3 story drop to the hard ground, and dense crowds, below. The dense crowds were testimony to the increasingly popularity of the UPWs among single riders and broken teams.

Keitaro looked over the scene before him. Many more riders were joining the gathering. He was shocked at the sheer number of riders in the city. He saw people descending from roof tops over the far side. Keitaro laughed to himself as a shock of yellow zig-zagged towards the ground, reminding him so much of lightening. He saw others just drop as if they were free falling, when really he knew they were wall riding their way down.

Nearer the middle, he saw a small group of people disperse and form a line. It was about to start. Ahead of them, the crowds seemed to part like The Red Sea did for Moses. He stood up on the edge of the building to get a better look. Four riders stood ready; their ATs kicking up small clouds of dust as they came to life. The crowd burst to life as the four riders sped away from the starting line. The UPWs first even of the night was begun.

Keitaro hopped over the edge and landed on a small ledge just a few metres down. He spied a vertical drainage pipe close by, which he promptly mounted for his descent to the crowds.

As the battle begins, the gathered crowd liven-up and those that intend to follow the entire match, are keeping an extra close eye on the particiating Riders, and are preparing to move themselves as the competing Riders waste no time is leaving the starting area and heading off to jump and climb their hurdles... which in the case, start off with simple ramps and skips by the side of the roads, but make progress into fences, vechicles, or even buildings.

If the crowd want to watch all the way from start to finish, they'll have to find ways of following the action.

Keitaro looked at the dense crowd of people. Having only been to a few UPWs and not taken part, he wanted to take part. He had no idea how to get an event set up. He was determined to get involved, so he decided he would get to the front of the crowd and see if he could find someone to set something up. He took a deep breath and exhaled before he tried to force his way through the crowd. He was making progress better than expected, but the going was still slow. Occasionally, he would stop after someone accidentally caught him in the ribs.

Within a few minutes that seemed to go on forever, Keitaro finally made it to the front and looked around. He looked down the street in the direction the riders of the last event took off, and could see other riders giving chase to watch the event in it's entirety. He looked around, and still he could not find anyone. He would not give up his search until an event was set up, with him in it, everyone dispersed or if they were subject to a raid. He hoped a raid wouldn't happen, in the last one, he was almost caught.

A grin comes to the face of the figure in yellow and the event begins and they too give chase, wanting to keep up with all the action. But their desire to stay out of sight means hiding amoungst the bigger crowds, and that proves problematic when people start getting in their way in one way or another.

Having people block your view, or nudge into you, and having to dodge riders who fall over infront of you, doesn't help when you're trying to keep up with the battling Riders and not miss anything.

Keitaro looked around for some sort of official to set up another event. Pretty soon, a lot of the riders had set off in pursuit of the rest, while others dispersed in other directions. With the crowds growing steadily thinner, He thought he would have a better chance of seeing someone to set up events, but the effort seemed to be futile. Maybe he would have more luck at the finishing line.

Keitaro looked on after the riders of the previous event; with the amount of riders heading in that direction, he was sure to build some speed in the wakes of the others. As unlikely as it might be, Keitaro though that it might be possible for him to catch up with the main bulk of the riders. His ATs kicked into action, trying to gain purchase of the ground. He lowered himself ready for his run moments before his wheels found their biting point, instantly gripping the road and speeding him of after the rest.

OOC: Sorry, but I'm bored, and have no intention of letting this RP die again.

Though they tried to hang-back and stay in the shadows, the crowds were proving much too annoying to the Rider in yellow, and as the competing Riders reach their first big hurdle, the figure speeds up and starts to distance themselves from the rest of the watchers, detemind to keep-up and not miss any of the action.

But they come to a skidding stop as the The Fox begins his attack, and all they can is watch as he carves his Road into his opponants. An obvious move formed of The Bloody Road, or, as it's more commonly known, The Fang. And it was too high powered a move for this group of Riders. From the second the attack landed, it the Battle was over and it's victor decided.

As The Fox speeds off to complete his race, the majority of the spectators grumble in unison at such a short-lived match. But the figure in yellow leaves the crowds, following The Fox from a distance.

OOC: Also, I've left The Fox in there incase Jei comes back, and, if not, he can always just be an NPC that maybe gets mentioned here and there (or not at all).

OOC: Glad you're not letting it die, that would be a waste, lol.

Keitaro moved out from behind a rider and sped of ahead using a slingshot manoeuvre. He repeated the process of getting into the wake of a rider and slingshotting ahead several times in quick succession, getting a slight increase in speed each time. His eyes were watering from the wind. He brought his scarf up further over his nose, so it rest just under his eyes. This afforded him a little more protection for his eyes, enough to allow him to see properly, at least.

Ahead, the crowd seemed to have stopped moving. Keitaro quickly changed his heading so he was angled towards the edge, close to the buildings. He drew closer to the crowds. Before getting too close, he lept into the air towards a building. He aimed his feet towards the side of it. His ATs caught the vertical wall and sped him along it's length. The thickness of the crowd wasn't all that great considering the amount of people at the meeting, but that was understandable. Ahead of the crowds, Keitaro could see why they stopped. On the ground at the base of the first hurdle lay the broken forms of three of the riders, meaning this event was already over. The only place left to go was the finish. No matter what, Keitaro was determined to get his event tonight
