    You can find lots of pikkies of my rat stuffs in my Rat Ready photo album, over at my Facebook account. But I wanted to make some rattie posts coz I'm all excited. ^^;

So, here's a pikkie of her new home...

It's not as big as the original one I was gonna buy, but she's only ickle and I can always get her a bigger living space if she needs one in the future. =)

The original was also a bar-type, and I much prefer tank-type.

It came with all this crap...

But the little house is probably too small for her, and not sure if the wheel's big enough either. Or the water bottle. And I don't like plastic food bowls. Lol.

Here's a pik with the roof off, and the junk out...

    The ladder...

I may replace it with a wooden one, but we'll see how she gets on with it first. Or maybe a tube for her to climb through! Ooo... =o

    The wheel attachment...

The bar itself can also be detached, but I might keep it so I can attach her salt and mineral licks to it. =)

So yeah, that's her basic living space sorted. I'll post pix of the other bits soonish too.

    Small food bowl...

This'll be her usual food bowl.

    Bigger food bowl...

This'll be her food bowl whenever I'm away. Tania says she's cool with checking in on her whenever I'm visiting Tom and stuff, but (as long as she's not the type who'll scoff everything right away) I figure having abit of a storage of foods will make it less hassle for Tania. =)

    Bigger water bottle...

This'll probably be her usual water bottle, as I think the other one is probably too small, especially during the comign summer when she's likely to drink more. Of course, I'll still be refilling it everyday, regardless of size.

    Litter tray...

Planning to potty train her, and this'll be her potty. Hehe!!

    More pix coming soon!! ^^

    Basic floor bedding...

I was looking for paper-based bedding, and I found this instead, which is supposed to be awesome. It feels like really soft. =)

Dscription: "A revolutionary product in small animal bedding, Carefresh Pet Bedding not only eliminates urine odours but is economical as you only need half the amount you would expect. This bedding is scientifically engineered to control ammonia formation for up to 3 times longer than traditional bedding and it can absorb over 3 times its weight in liquids. Made from 100% virgin wood pulp fibre rather than pine or cedar (both have hydrocarbon (oils) that may be linked to pet health problems), and with no added dyes, Carefresh is eco friendly, hypoallergenic and dust free. Sanitised to kill bacteria, mould and fungus, it is ideal for rodents, rabbits, reptiles, hand-fed baby birds and exotic pets.".

    Sleepy time bedding...

I got this because, originally, I was gonna get her a little bed to sleep in. But I'm planning to get her a little hammock, and I also have a climbing tube which she might wanna snuggle into as well. So it's up to her where she wants to sleep, and I'll see if she wants to use the bedding as well or not. =)

    Training pads...

Yes, puppy training pads. I'll be cutting it up and lining the bottom of her litter tray with this. XD

    Potty litter...

    Also for her litter tray.

    Cleanie spray...

So I can clean everything safely. =)

And there ya go. Again, more pix will be up soon. XP

    Large tube...

This is for her to climb on and in, gnaw on, and/or sleep in (if she likes).

    Rope ball...

For her to play with and gnaw on.

    Kong...

Small thingy for putting treats in

    Little seesaw...

For her to play with and gnaw on.

    Large ball...

Or, er, space pod, for her to roll around in. Roll out!! =p

I would've loved to have her runnign freely around my room, but there are just too many wires in here. Aside from me not being able to afford replacing important cables all the time, I really don't want her to hurt, or possibly kill, herselfy by chewing through, or getting tangled in, wires.

I am keeping an eye-out for a run that's big enough for her too. I've seen a hamster sized one, but it's not really big enough for her to really play in, and she'd probably be able top jump out of it anyways. So, the ball it is. XD

Also, only two more entries to go and I think it'll all be up-to-date. ^^

    Rat Nuggets...

This'll be her basic food (as well as veggies and such). I got this instead of the usual muesli type mix, and I've always found that animals with muesli mix tend to pick out the bits they like and leave the rest, which is fine - we don't eat stuff we don't like either. But it also prevents them from havign a proper balanced diet, so, providing she likes these, the nuggets will give her something nice to eat, and still keep her nutritionally balanced.

    Mineral wheels...

    Because she needs them. =)

I'm gonna double check if she needs a seperate salt lick as well, because usually, when they have both, they tend to just stick to the salt lick and ignore the mineral one. XD

I've also gotta check if she needs any Vitamin C suppliments as well actually.

    Salt Wheels...

    Play Sticks...

    Bendy sticks are bendy...

    Cottage...

I actually love this!! It's bigger than I thought it'd be, but I think the box lies; it might fit a baby guinea pig inside (but probably not a dwarf rabbit comfortably, unless you take the roof off), but I don't think the door is actually big enough for an adult guinea pig to fit through in the first place. There is a bigger size, so if anyone's reading this and thinking of getting one for their guinea pig or dwarf rabbit: go for the bigger size.

Still, it should be fine for my ratties. =)

Not sure if it'll fit in the cage, but that's ok as they can have it to play with during floor time. ^^

    The cottage built up...

    I love this!! X3

    Wood Puzzle Chew...

    Coloured ping pong balls...

I wanna put a few holes in so they're easy tp pick up for fetching games. =3

It's huge, and the instructions were pretty much no help at all. So yay for me and my puzzle solving skillz!! XP

And the upper levels were a total bugger to connect properly with the lower level. But I think I've got it now. I might use some cable ties or something to give it some extra hold though.

Also, don't worry about the plug and wires. I'm gonna block them off with cardboard from packing boxes. XD

I'd actually like to maybe stick some sort of funky design onto the card that I place behind the cage. Hehe!!
