The Sleipnir Garden in the Captial City known as Midgar is experiancing a sudden increase in students (as are most other Gardens). It's nothing this Garden can't handle though, being one of the largest Gardens, after all. The problem isn't that there are new students coming in; it's why.

The Leviathan Garden in the beach city of Zanarkand has had to be closed recently due to a recent attack by an unknown violent group. It's unclear if they really are unknown, or if the officials are keeping quiet about anything they might know. For now, at least, the students and their families have been told nothing more than that this is most likely a one-off attack and they have no reason to evacuate any of the other gardens.

Of course, some students and parents are weary of another attack elsewhere and have chosen not to change Gardens - which means studying at home or not at all. Still, some feel safer this way and prefer to do this until the Leviathan Garden is repaired and officially declared safe - with no more attacks in the meantime, of course.

Some students are finding the events, including the move, quite exciting, whilst others are worried and others annoyed. There's also the upset and annoyance that the students of the Leviathan Garden that were involved in the Zanarkand Bliztball Team, the Zanarkand Fins, can no longer play or practise at their home stadium (which was the biggest and most brightly lit-up) due to it also being closed too.

No confirmation has come yet if the stadium was just damaged due to it being close or if it was directly attacked. Again, the officials aren't saying much on the matter. Only that it was "probably" hit by accident.

In any case, it's early spring and a new day at Sleipnir Garden has begun...

OOC: Okay, let's try and get things going. Sorry if this post sucks; I haven't RP'd in ages and first posts are always the hardest. XD

It's a lovely spring day and the air is warm and inviting. But not all if as calm as the soft flowing breeze... Sleipnir Garden is the busiest it's ever been. It's been two weeks now since the new students started coming in, and they're still coming!!

The board thought it would be a good idea to only let a set-amount in each week to make it easier for the tutors, current sudents, and the general system to get used to such a big change. This pretty much means serious lessons are cancelled until the move is complete as it would be unfair to the students still waiting to join as they'd miss-out on learning. However, it does mean the term has been extended upon to make-up for the lost time later in the year.

After a busy morning with alot of queing, signing of papers, etc, it's morning break time. Even in this huge Garden, the outdoor fields can seem a little busy when everyone's outside at the same time.

Alex wanders further round to the outdoor Chocobo stables where it seems much quieter. A lone Chocobo stands in it's stall, the others must be being used. Alex pets the large yellow bird, giving it a smile, and then sits down by the side of the stable wall, her back lent-up against it. She brings her knees up near her chest, leaning her left arm across them, and then lets out a tired sigh...

People after people flooded through the front door Sleipnir Garden. Francis just watched them coming in. a lot of them stayed together in groups but some strayed on their own. He wondered when they would stop getting such an influx as he took a bite out of the hotdog he had liberated from the cafeteria moments before the flood of new students started pouring into it. He would not have been happy if he missed his morning hotdog. Munching it down he stood up and started heading towards the training area, where he planned on spend the next few hours as his classes had been cancelled. After that, he had planned on going down to the motor pool to make some more adjustments to the bike his shop teacher said he could tweak in his spare time.

Francis was actually getting annoyed with the amount of people milling about the corridor. It made progress to the training centre difficult.
"Excuse me..." he said as he tried to make a quick pass passed the elevators, which turned out to be one of the worst ideas he'd ever had. The crowd was really thick here and some people refused to move.
"C'mon people, try and make it easier on the people who live here, will ya?" he raised his voice a little, the annoyance was evident.

Joey stood with a bag slung over one shoulder, waiting at the front entrance for direction. He stood watching the crowds, not sure if he should be awed by the sight, or merely horrified at the sheer volume of people. He had already got his room designated; he'd be sharing with another of the refugees from Leviathan Garden. He pulled out a site map for the dormitories and found his room. He looked up from the map and looked for the board that held the map of the Garden. He spent a few moments familiarising himself with before he hefted his bag over the opposite shoulder and started towards the Dormitories

Joey gave up on the idea of the elevator, he was right at the back of the cue and didn't really want to wait for ages just to get to his room. He heard annoyed voices from up ahead, someone obviously trying to barge their way through, but he couldn't really separate the voices from the loud din that was inevitable in large crowds. His fingers slipped from the handle of his bag, letting it thump to the ground. He huffed as he bent down to pick it up. As he grabbed it, he felt a shove and he fell out of the line. He regained his footing so as not to fall over completely and saw that it was just the general shoving that comes with crowds. He looked around. Finding that the stairs were a little less crowded, he headed for them instead. They still looked uncertain but they held better chances for him

Alex had been putting-off finding her room so far as she thought she'd probably get lost, and she wasn't really keen on finding-out who she was sharing with as she always felt awkward around people she'd never met before. She pondered it more and more, knowing she'd have to do it sometime. But still no. She shook the thoughts off for a bit and just sat with the sun beaming down on her, warming her skin.

    Minutes past...

    And then more...

    And then some more...

Alex growned a little, knowing she'd better do it and get it over with. She figured it was probably gonna take her at least an hour to find the damn thing first anyhow. Picking-up her bag and dragging her suitcase, she made her way back the entrace doors of the main building and headed stright towards the directory and map... which was crowded with people already.

    "Great..." She said under-her-breath.

There was no-way she was going to be able to see with that amount of people in the way. She'd hoped people would've been done with the maps by now.

Giving-up on the idea of using map on this floor, she decided to head towards the elivator and see if the map on the next floor was as crowded...

That idea was soon obviously a no-go. The elivators were packed full and had long queues waiting for them. So, though unhappy about it, Alex had to take the stairs... dragging her suitcase with her whist her smaller bag hung across her shoulder.

Francis finally got through the mass of people waiting for the elevator and aimed himself for the clearest area in the general direction of the training area. If he didn't get there soon, he'd end up getting pretty mad. He began barging his way through, knocking several people over as he did so. He called back the occasional apology in his wake. Eventually he made it out. The masses had begun to thin, as the others where starting to realise the dorms were not this way. He smiled as he passed through the training room doors and headed towards the reinforced doors that kept the monsters from spilling out into the Garden.

As the reinforced doors opened to a very large enclosed area filled with most terrain types, Francis breathed in the air. Next to the motor pool and the cafeteria, this was one of his favourite places. He could get lost in here for hours, and he had done on a few occasions. He smiled as he made his way forward. Hearing no sounds of others training, he smiled. He just loved it when he had the place to himself, though he didn't mind people coming in, it was a public place, after all.

At different times of the day, different creatures would come out, so you were never guaranteed the same battles throughout the day. Most people knew that the most dangerous that Sleipnir Garden had to offer was nocturnal and so stayed away. Francis saw this as a challenge most of the time. He drew his guns, Zippo as he made a quick dash towards a jungled area.

Joey couldn't help but laugh as he saw a few people struggling with the amount of stuff they brought with them. Joey didn't actually have that many things to bring with him. He made his way up the stairs as quick as he could, catching glimpses of people he vaguely knew from back at Leviathan Garden. He could see the top of the stairs some way up, but he knew he wouldn't be reaching it as quick as he'd hoped.

Joey was finally within reaching distance of the top of the stairs. He could see some of the crowd thinning as people dispersed along the first floor. Most of the people went up another flight of stairs. Joey assumed that there were more dorms on the next floor. This was certainly a different layout to Leviathan Garden, but he would have to get used to it, at least for the time being. Finally reaching the top of the stairs, Joey hefted his bag once more so that it sat comfortably as he pulled out his sitemap and located where he now stood. He was quite surprised that his room was less than 30 metres away, providing the scale was accurate

Alex tries not to look as though she's struggling with her suitcase as she pulls it up over each step. Though it feels like it's getting heavier and more awkward to handle with every few steps - and it's quite the long stairway.

She's not the only one struggling, however. Many a student seem to have given-up on the elevator idea and taken to the stairs. Luckily not so many as to cause a flood on the steps though, which could be quite dangerous.

As she looks round to see how many steps she has left to go, she almost loses her balance and grabs ahold of the banister with one hand to steady herself. She blows her fringe out of her face and tries to continue up the stairs, holding the suitcase with one-hand now as she keeps the other firmly on the banister, using it for balance to to try and help pull on.

This really isn't the best of starts...

As Francis reached the edge of the jungled area, he is ambushed by a swarm of Bite Bugs. He skidded to a halt as he turned, bringing his guns to bear on the main bulk. A few of the Bite Bugs flew at him, but did not succeed in making it all the way as they met their fates at the wrong end of the ballistic rounds. The rest of the swarm started attacking Francis in full force. Not to be deterred by the current events, Francis began firing more shots in quicker succession, occasionally breaking it up with an elbow bash to the closest bugs or a sweeping kick.

One by one, the Bite Bugs fell, until only a few remained. He turned his gun towards them, but they were moving too fast to get a decent aim. Francis laughed at them as he tried to anticipate their moves. He fired a single shot as he brought his gun round in a sweeping movement. He saw one of them Bite Bugs falter, with the sound of a bullet catching its carapace. The bug swung away from the offending object, but obviously did not see one of the other remaining Bite Bugs. Before they could collide, Francis brought his other gun up and fired. He allowed himself a smile as the bullet flew straight threw them both, bringing their lifeless bodies to the ground. Francis quickly looked around, but didn't see the last Bite Bug. At first he thought that it had ran away, but they're not smart enough to do that. He could just about hear the sound of the wings. The bug was still close. He holstered his guns slowly, listening to the sound. He didn't turn round, but he knew the bug was behind him. He heard the drone of the wings change pitch as the Bug dove for him. With almost lightning quick reflexes, Francis drew Pyro and without even turning round aimed directly behind himself. The drone suddenly changed. The Bite Bug would now be staring into the face of his own death. Without allowing the Bite Bug time to do anything, Francis pulled the trigger. The droning had stop. Now the only noises that could be heard were the gunshot echoing of the distant walls and the Bite Bug hitting the floor

Joey made haste for his room before his way was blocked by another rush of people trying to find their own rooms. Some of them had obviously not had the foresight to get a map of the floor their room was on with their room marked on it. Finally there was clear corridor ahead of him. He could see the floor clearly enough to know that he'd been walking on a polished floor since he reached the top of the stairs. He laughed to himself, thinking that it was now needing another good polish with the traffic it’s seen over the last few days. Joey looked down the corridor ahead of him and quickly glanced at the site map again. His room was very close now. He could actually see the door. The thought of finally getting to his room was enough to give him a little boost of energy. He managed to break into a clumsy sprint with the bag over his shoulder, so he removed it and swung it forward with whatever strength he could get into his arms. His aim was true; the bag flew in a shallow arc toward his door, allowing him to break into a more stable sprint. The bag landed a few doors short of his own and slid only a few feet, but that didn't matter. As he reached it in his sprint, he hooked his foot underneath and flicked it up. His forward momentum carried the bag further toward his door, whilst his foot had sent it up. He skidded to a halt at his door as he grabbed the bag, smiling to himself as he thought how good that must've looked to someone who was watching. He looked around just to make sure nobody was actually watching. He gave a sigh of relief as he inserted his key card. His door unlatched and allowed him to enter freely. He quickly got inside and close the door.

Joey was glad to finally have made it to his room. He slung his bag onto the sofa. He began his tour of the dorm room. He liked this. He decided to go check out the bedrooms. If his roommate had been here already, then he wouldn't get to choose his room. The rooms looked to be about the same size, but one was definitely bigger. Without a second thought, Joey ran and grabbed his bag from the sofa and threw it onto the bed. That room was his.

With the room sorted, Joey went and sat down on the sofa and picked up the controls for the TV. He soon found a channel that had the Blitzball game on. His mother was playing for the Estha Espers today.

Alex was getting pretty fed-up with all these stairs. She questioned if she should have tried to find her room earlier as maybe the elevators wouldn't have been so busy. But then again, there were just as many people earlier trying to find their way, so it probably didn't matter what time or day she'd chosen to do this, unless it was alot later on.

She paused a moment and pondered the thought of waiting until later, but then shook it off as it only meant going back down the stairs again and she was already very tempted to just kick her suitcase and let it bounce or roll down the stairs. And she knew she'd only kick herself later if things were still busy and she had to re-do the stairs she already done so far. Nope. She was over half-way there now - might as well carry on.

Francis holstered Pyro as he turned to continue on into the jungle. Francis was hoping run into an Ochu or even a young T-Rexaur. The jungles held many surprises, even for Francis who spent a lot of time in here, almost as much as he did the motor pool. The jungle was quiet, but that didn't mean it was not full of danger. Creatures could be lurking in the undergrowth, behind any bush, behind any tree.

Francis stopped his advance through the jungle. His stomach began to growl. Obviously it had not been sufficiently filled. He shook his head and sighed to himself. He couldn't train on an empty stomach. The sigh was also because he had to face the halls again. He turned round and ran for the edge of the jungle. He tripped as he was running and tried for a roll to break his fall, but it was no use. He came crashing to the ground. He looked at his foot to see what was wrong. He saw the problem. His foot had become entangled in a vine. He turned and sat down, perplexed as to how his foot became caught up so quickly and without him knowing. He reached for the vine and began to untangle it, when it started to tighten. All of a sudden, the bush began to rustle. Immediately he enchanted his fists with a small fire spell as he grabbed the length of vine in both hands and tried to tear it apart. There was a wail of pain come from the bush. He looked up to see a mature Ochu amble out from the bush. He pulled harder on the vine and finally it snapped. The Ochu pulled it vine back as it wailed once again. The vine was flailing around wildly. The rest of the vine fell loose around Francis' ankle, allowing him to slip out of it easily. He quickly got to his feet and drew out both his guns and proceeded to fire shot after shot into the gaping maw in front of him. Each shot hit its mark and before long the clips were empty, no sound emanated from the Ochu, side from the fading, pained wail. Holstering his guns, Francis turned and made a quick dash out of the area and towards the exit.

Francis made it out of the training area without being swarmed by Bite Bugs again. The big reinforced doors closed behind him as he made his way down the hall to get to the main part of Sleipnir Garden once again. He knew he would have to contend with the crowd again, but he'd just have to make do. He hoped the cafeteria wasn't too packed.

When Francis got out into the main area of the Garden, he was surprised to see that the amount of activity had decreased, if only slightly. He could see the entrance to the cafeteria, and he could tell that it was packed as the queue was out the door. Francis groaned as he made his way to join the queue. He wondered what food would be left.

Joey sat back to watch the game. No sooner had his back touched the seat, his stomach began to rumble.
"aww man. This is just perfect, now I'm going have to miss the game to get food, or go hungry. I haven't eaten yet today.,” He said to himself. He sighed as he stood up. He walked over to the TV and turned it off and started a slow walk to the door. Joey felt annoyed, not because he was going to miss the game, but because he had to face the hallways again. He reached for the door and pulled it open to step back out into the hall.

Joey gulped as he opened the door fully. The corridor outside seemed deceptively empty. He could hear a quiet noise from the crowd of people that still moved to find their rooms. It was a bit quieter, but not by much. He stepped out into the hall and made sure he still had his key card before closing the door behind him. He turned to walk away from his room. Joey looked toward the stairs, but couldn't see them through the mass of people that still walked around the top. He made his way toward the stairs. Joey stopped on the opposite side of the elevator shaft to the stairs and looked over the railing, there was still a cue for lift, however there were very few people waiting to go down, in comparison to the amount of people waiting to come up. He decided his best bet would be to take the elevator down, as the stairs were filled with people trying to come up the stairs, so he joined the queue and waited.

Joey waited in the queue for what seemed like ages, people came up the lift, people got on the lift and went down. The problem with this queue is that he seemed to be further back than when he started. This annoyed Joey, but not enough for him to leave the queue. The stairs were just too dangerous right now with all the activity on them.

Joey waited and waited, his patience wearing thin. People seemed to be trying to over fill the lift in order to get down. He decided that it was no longer a good idea to take the lift, but was not happy with the idea of taking the stairs. He saw a gap behind a group of people heading up the stairs. An idea hit him. He bolted towards the stairs; his timing was near enough perfect. As he got close enough to the stairs, he leapt for the rail. The landing was perfect as he began to grind his way to the bottom, people moved aside in panic so as not to be hit. He felt the air against his face as he slid all the way to the bottom before jumping of. As he landed, he bent his knees almost to the point where they touched the ground, breaking his fall.

Alex had a small hope that no one would come to share this dorm with her, but she knew that was impossible. Usually students at this Garden were lucky enough to be on their own, but with the increasing number of students that were still arriving; that wouldn't be the case anymore. All she could realistcally hope for now was that someone nice would come along later to share the dorm.

She swiped her keycard and pushed the door open. She slipped her boots off before walking in slowly, peeking around the door before entering fully.

The first room insight was a sitting room. It smelt just as clean as it looked, and the windows had been left open and let in the fresh, warm smell of spring too. Alex wandered in further, keeping a look-out to see if there was actually anyone already inside somewhere... but there wasn't.

She continued on inside and spotted the doors to the bedrooms. There were two bedroom doors. At least it was only two. She didn't want to end-up with a whole bunch of people she didn't know, especially with the worry she may not get on with them.

Alex put her smaller bag down next to the sofa, which was a soft lilac colour, and then went to collect her boots and suitcase she'd left outside.

There was a loud clap of thunder, which caught Alex by surprise, causing her to turn around quickly and look towards the windows (which were still open). The rain began to fall quite fast, and Alex brought the rest of her belonging inside the room and then made her way over to the open windows.

The air was cooler than before, but not too cold, for the moment at least. She leant over the window-sill to look if anyone was outside in this rain. She had a nice view of the South side, including the path to the South entrance, and the fields on the South side too.

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Rebecca was doing her usual; walking along whilst reading a book at the same time. Behind her, she pulled a suitcase. Whilst most around her were being nosiey about finding their rooms and meeting eachother, she casually and silently went about finding her own new room.

The only thing to draw her attention away from her book was that first clap of thunder. After which, she put her book away and started moving faster as she figured this rain would probably mean a rush in students coming inside if they weren't already. And she'd already spent a long time in the queues at the elevators earlier. Not that it bothered her too much as she was quite content to just stand there reading her books.

Francis weaved his way through the thinning crowds, onwards towards his goal. The queue for the cafeteria was just mere metres away. He joined the end and settled in for a long wait. Normally, he would keep himself busy by messing with his guns. Francis didn't see many familiar faces so he was unsure as to how the new people would react to a firearm out in a public place, without a very good reason.

From somewhere near the stairs, Francis could hear the sound of people in a little panic, rushing to move out of the way of something. Instinctively, he turned round. All he saw was someone thinking he was so clever by grinding the guardrail. The hotshot landed, quite an impressive landing, but it still didn't change the fact that it was a stupid move. Francis shook his head and turned to face the front of the queue. In the time it had taken him to turn round, the queue had advanced slightly. As he turned his head, Francis noticed the sky out of the window. It was dark out. Francis looked at one the clocks that hung on the wall. It shouldn't be getting dark this early. There was a faint flash of light, followed a few seconds later by the distant roar of thunder.

Joey picked himself from the crouch and dusted himself off. He turned around to see some people staring at him, shaking their heads. Joey managed a small smile that suggested that, perhaps, he might've been slightly embarrassed. He looked around, to see if he could spot the cafeteria. Joey knew he would have to look for the queue stretching from within as not many people had had a chance to have some food within the last few hours.

Joey heard a roar of thunder that was happening some distance away. He smiled to himself at this sound, as he loved to listen to a storm. He would watch it, but it would have to wait till after he ate, if it lasted that long.

Rebecca found her room, the door still open, and noticed a girl, light-brown hair, a grey top, and baggy jeans, looking out of one of the open windows.

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Hi. I'm Rebecca." She said, giving a small wave to Alex, catching her attention.

"Er, hi. I'm Alex." She replied.

"I've not seen you around before. Are you new? It's hard to tell. This Garden's so big that even if you've been here for years you may never recognise everyone." She gave a slightly embarrased laugh.

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Alex smiled and joined Rebecca on the sofa. "I'm from the Leviathan Garden."

The girls continued talking, getting to know eachother a little better. They were partly ignoring the fact that their dorm room door was still open. It was quite fun to watch the other people in the hallway walking about and chatting to others.

The rain outside was still falling pretty hard, but at least the thunder was dying down a little now. Such a sudden change in the weather wasn't unheard of, but it did feel a little strange to some.

Francis sighed as he stood in the queue waiting for his turn to get some food. The storm was getting ever closer. There were a few loud claps as the lightning forked in the direction of Sleipnir Garden. The line continued to inch its way forward. It wasn’t long before he was close enough to smell the food

Joey smiled a bit more each time the Thunder sounded. He could tell it was getting closer with each passing minute. It wouldn't be long till it was directly overhead; the rain was already starting to get heavy. Joey heard some noise picking up from the entrances; people were trying to get in out of the rain. The crowds were still quite thick, but the majority of people were now getting settled into their new rooms.

Alex and Rebecca were both quite pleased their new room-mates were nice and friendly. Things had been going well between them so far, and they were both feeling quite relaxed. The sound of the rain pattered against the windows, and the noise from the hallway was quieting down once again.

Rebecca had offered to take Alex on a little tour around the Garden when things got a bit quieter too.

Francis finally made it to the front of the queue. He could smell the hotdogs from where he stood. He grabbed a plate and made his way straight for them. He got to where the hotdogs should've been, only to find that there were no more.
"Hey, what's going on?" He said in disgust as he made sure the hotdogs were nowhere else.
"What's wrong, dear?" Asked one of the cafeteria staff.
"Don't tell me all the hotdogs are gone." Francis said as he kept looking around.
"I'm sorry, but the last ones were just taken-"
"May. Francis asked me to hold onto a few earlier on, so I made sure they were put away." Said another one of the staff as she bent down behind the counter and opened a door. She pulled out a plate of three hotdogs and smiled at Francis as she passed them to May. Francis put the empty plate he had taken on top of the counter and smiled as he rubbed his hands together vigorously.
"Thank you so much, Rachel. I owe you for this." Francis said as he took the hotdogs and went to pay for them.

Joey watched a red-haired student looking very worried and having a conversation with the staff. He realised this was a student from this Garden. Joey was a few people behind the other student so he couldn't hear the exchange. Not that it worried him. Joey could now reach the counter. He grabbed a plate and began to pick his food. He knew what he wanted, and he hoped they had some left. He saw what he wanted, a plate, full to heaving with chips. None of this frozen stuff, either. These were chips made from the freshest potatoes.

Francis stood with his plate of hotdogs, looking for a place to sit, any place. He didn't really care if he had to stand, but he preferred to sit down and eat. The exercise was useless, there was not a single place to sit down and eat. He didn't even recognise anyone there. This was not an uncommon thing. With Sleipnir being one of the biggest Garden facilities, there were, quite often, many people that knew every single stupid, not even by the face.

Finally Francis spotted someone he knew. He may not have liked it, but the only person he actually could put a name to the face was Olivia. He never really got on with Olivia, but neither did quite a lot of the students. Oliva was so closed off to everyone, and even fewer knew what she was really like. Even those people close to her never knew exactly what she was like. No one knew anything about her life before Garden, or very few. Francis was never one of them, so he never knew. Reluctantly, he walked up to her.
"Don't bother, I looked." Francis said, even if she didn't really listen or know what he was going on about.
"Hmmm...?" she said with little effort as she half turned towards him.
"I'm guessing most of these are refuges from Leviathan," Francis said, referring to the recent incident at Leviathan. The event that caused many people to lose their homes, including the students of Leviathan Garden, "you won't find many people you know sitting at these tables."

Francis scowled to himself as he walked away from Olivia. He took a bite out of one of the hotdogs as he walked away. Francis would stand and eat if he had to. He didn't understand why Olivia was so down on people all the time; it's not as if people haven’t tried to be her friend. There was something about her that Francis couldn't quite put his finger on, nor did he know why. Perhaps on of the Levvies could get her to open up a bit. He let the thought pass out of his head without paying it much attention, as he finished off one of the three hotdogs on his plate. He immediately started on another hotdog.
"Is it always this busy?" Came a voice from behind him. Francis turned to see who it was. He found himself faced with a male student that he had never met. The other student was slightly smaller than himself. His brown hair looked as if it was meant to be a mess, but wasn't quite there. His jeans looked like they had been dragged all over the place by stampeding Chocobos. The student was holding a plate of chips that was heaped as if he just took the whole lot.
"Only since the Levvies got here." Francis replied with a mock smile.
"I'm sorry... Levvies?" Asked the student, confusion prominent in his voice.
"Leviathan Garden students." Francis explained, feeling slightly embarrassed at the fact that he may have just potentially insulted someone who may be from Leviathan Garden, at ths point he wasn't sure. The student seemed to think the comment over in his head.
"You know, I'm a Levvie, as you called us," Said the student in a tone that was either hinting at annoyance or just a mockery of it. Francis opened his mouth the apologise, but was cut off before he could say anything, "I like it, the names Joey." The student now know as Joey shifted the chips onto one hand, while offering the other to Francis.
"Francis." He replied as he shook Joey's hand.

Alex had been wandering around the Garden since finding his room first thing this morning over on the North Wing. He loved Midgar, and it's Garden was even bigger and better than he'd thought it would be. He was enjoying getting lost in this maze of fun.

He'd yet to see a face he knew well, despite how many Leviathan students were around. Many faces he could half-recognise, but no-one he really "knew". Still, he was getting hungry now and he scrolled along with his hands in his pockets, keeping his eyes open for anyone he knew, and he made his way to the caffeteria.

But when he got there, he saw the queue... it was still just as long as the last time he passed the caffeteria earlier on that day. He began to wonder if he should join the queue and get it over with, or go wander some more and try again later. But, to his surprise, he finally spotted someone he knew, so he went over.

"Mm, chips!" He said with a grin as he knicked one of Joey's chips and gave a single wave.

Francis just looked at the newer student that came over and stole some chips of Joey rather healthy supply, making little difference to the overall amount. Francis finished off the second of his hotdogs.
"I assume you know each other." Francis said just as he finished swallowing his mouthful.
"Oi, Alex, get your own." Joey laughed as he let Alex take some chips.
"Yeah, we both played for the Zanarkand Fins for a while, until all this happened." Alex said as he looked around the cafeteria. Francis laughed silently to himself as he saw Alex trying the futile exercise of looking for a space to sit.
"Don't bother, with all us Levvies, it's going to be hard to find anywhere to sit in here." Joey said with a laugh as he used the term Francis had said. Francis shook his head as he realised that Joey was actually mocking him slightly. Joey just grabbed a handful of chips in a way that was reminiscent of a claw machine. He tilted his head back and dropped them in before starting to masticate.

"Levvies, huh? Not bad." Alex laughed a little, knicking another chip, and having once last glance around. "You seen anyone else we know around anywhere?

"And by "anyone", you mean?" Joey asked, giving him a knowing look.

"I mean "anyone"." Alex said blunty, stuffing another stolen chip into his mouth.

Before Joey could answer, they were interupted by the tannoy system..

"Attention! All Blitzball Players are to report to the main gym on the East Wing at 16:00 hours. That's all Blitzball Players from both Gardens to the main gym located at East Wing by 16:00 hours. Thank you."

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Alex and Rebecca were still sat on their sofa getting to know eachother and talking about their Gardens and experiances in them so far.

"Attention! All Blitzball Players are to report to the main gym on the East Wing at 16:00 hours. That's all Blitzball Players from both Gardens to the main gym located at East Wing by 16:00 hours. Thank you."

"Heh. That'll be me then." Alex said to herself, shrugging a little.

She still had a while to wait, but was wondering what it was about. And Rebecca seemed quite excited to hear her room-mate was a Blitzer.

    "You play Blitzball!?" She asked.

"Um, yeah, I'm part of the Zanarkand Fins team." She smiled back at Rebecca, a little embarrased.

"That's really cool. I'm no good at sports." Rebecca shrugged.

She'd never joined any teams before, not even for fun. She liked to watch, but that was about it. She just didn't get on very well when it came to playing sports.

Francis stood in silence as the heard the announcement over the tannoy. He made a note of the reactions given from Joey and Alex at the mention of Blitzers. They turned back to eating the plate of chips between them, the plate was balanced precariously on Joey's hand.
"You guys are Blitzers, aren't you?" Francis stated more than asked.
"Yeah, we are." said Joey as he waited to stuff a few chips into his mouth.
"And I'd say we're pretty damn good at it, as well." Said Alex proudly as Joey was busy chewing his food. Francis shook his head. Pride comes before a fall. He thought. He looked at the clock; it said 15:00 on its digital face. Joey and Alex only had an hour before they had to convene in the main gym. Francis quickly thought, he had originally planned to go spend some time tinkering with the bike in the motor pool, as he sometimes would, but he thought that perhaps it would be too busy. He had thought about going back to his dorm to get some rest.

"Maybe they know we're the superiour team..." Alex paused as he scoffed another couple of chips. "... and they wanna recruit us to their own."

Joey chuckled a little and shook his head, though he knew Alex was probably only kidding around. "You can be so fulla crap." He laughed.

Alex laughed as well and gave a nod. "But hey, you never know." He then paused again and a look of confustion filled his face. "Err... do you know where the East Wing is?" He asked Joey, as he'd realised that despite all his wandering so far, he had no idea where the gym was that they'd need to get to soon.

Francis looked at the time again, 15:03. He looked at the last remaining hotdog on his plate.
"Are you going to eat that?" Asked Alex hopefully. Francis just looked at him and picked it up of his plate.
"I wouldn't have got it if I didn't plan on eating it." Francis said as he bit it almost completely in half. He had almost bitten off more than he could chew, but Francis managed it, somehow. After a while, he finally managed to swallow it.
"Right, I'm off. I'll catch you two around at some point." Francis said as he put the empty plate on a nearby table and took the half of the hotdog he had left with him.

Getting out of the Cafeteria was a lot easier than getting in. To his surprise, Francis found that the corridors were now mostly clear. He increased his gait, making himself move faster. Unfortunately, the stairs were still a little crowded. He quickly approached the stairs as he finished of the remaining hotdog. Francis' ascension of the stairs was quick, as he bounded up them two or three at a time. As he reached the top of the first set of stairs, he made a quick turn to head towards the next set.

Francis made quicker work of the second steps than he did the first set. His dorm was in the south wing, about seven doors down on the right hand side. He quickly made his way to the door and drew out Pyro. He was not going to shoot the door down, but he had, long ago, attached his key card to the grip. This was a relatively smart move for him, as his guns never left his sight, or his side. He unlocked his door and walked in. It was strange; his new roommate hadn't turned up, yet. He didn't know if it was a Levvie or one of the original students. After closing the front door, he went to his room and removed his gun belt before slinging it onto the bed. Next he removed his bracers and put them with the gun belt. He wandered to the bathroom to turn on the shower, so it could be heating up while he finished undressing. A fresh towel hung on the rack. Francis closed the bathroom door behind him and locked it so he could get undressed without fear of his roommate finally getting here and walking in on him.

Joey stood holding the chips while he and Alex ate them. Soon they would have to go to the meeting in the main gym.
"I wonder what they could want us Blitzers for." Joey said as they began to make a sufficient dent in the pile of chips.
"More to the point, what could they want with us Levvies?" Alex said trying not to laugh as he said the word Levvies.
"Who knows? But it must be important to have us there as well." Joey said as he leant against a nearby table, even against the wishes of the current occupants.

Joey continued chewing his chips, the plate was now almost completely empty. He finally swallowed the mouthful and was able to speak again.
"You know what, I don't know. We should've asked Francis while he was still here." Joey said as he prepared to finish of the remainder of the chips.
"This Garden has a Directory, doesn't it?" Alex said as he swiped a few more chips, leaving Joey only a few left. Joey quickly grabbed these chips and shoved them in his mouth. the only reply he gave was a single nod

"So, shall we get going?" Alex suggested.

"Now?" Joey asked, seeing as it was still a while before they had to actually be at the gym.

"Mm, I'm just figuring we should leave early incase we get lost and end-up having to back-track or something."

"You're kidding?" Joey raised a brow. "How the heck are you gonna get lost if you follow the directions!?"

"I've been lost plenty o' times, I'll have you know." Alex said, a little proudly until he realised that what he'd just said wasn't actually a good thing. "Er... I mean..."

Joey shook his head and tried not to laugh. "Fine. We'll leave now."

The girls were also setting-off, seeing as Rebecca knew the way to the gym well-enough, and figured it'd be a good opportunity for a mini-tour on the way down.

Joey stopped leaning against the table and started walking towards the exit to the cafeteria. Alex walked alongside him, a cheeky grin on his face.
"The Garden does have a directory, right?" Alex said, knowing it would annoy Joey enough to be funny. Joey smiled and brought his arm back as if to threaten a punch, but instead nudged him slightly with the arm nearest Alex. The laughed a bit as Alex stopped himself, almost at the point where he had to laugh, but let out a little chuckle instead. The number of students, in the cafeteria, hadn't really changed it was still packed. Out in the hall, however, a lot of students had now gone on to their respective areas, though it didn't look like it from the way they were spread out.
