It's a bright and sunny morning, and today is the first day of a new term at school for students of Tsubasa, one of the three most popular schools in the area. And possibly the only school that changes it's uniform's base colour according to the time of year. During the Spring and Summer, the uniforms are white with coloured trim, jacket, trousers/skirt, tie/ribbon (deep blue for the boys, and deep pink for the girls). And during the Autum and Winter, the uniforms are black with the same blue/pink coloured trim, jacket, trousers/skirt, tie/ribbon. The jackets are always optional, as are the choices between short and long sleeves tops. And, aside from the uniform colour change, Tsubasa is probably the only school that changes it's logo depending on season too. The logo of wings is stitched in colour (blue/pink). The white uniform set has soft, gentle, angel like wings. Whilst the black uniform set has hard, agressive, demon like wings.
One of the students preparing for their new term, is Akiko. And, in much of a contrast to her personality the night before, this morning she's wearing a cheerful smile and dancing to her music as she readys herself in her short sleeved summer uniform. She matches her socks for her uniform's base colour too, and, though they're long, wears them folded down so her legs stay cool in the hot weather. She also matches her school bags to her uniform, drapping the strap of her white bag over her left shoulder, so that it lay diagnally and the bag itself rests around her right hip area. The bag even has pink stitching, and the design of pink wings, matching the school's current logo, stitched onto the front flap. Even her shoes match, as she puts her white trainers into her bag, and slips into some white ATs with pink stitching and wheels.
Once she's ready, she puts on her heads phones, and leaves for school.
Akiko had lived alone in her appartment for a while now. Her older sister used to live with her, taking care of her since they had no parents around. Even after she passed away in an accident, it still seemed as though Akiko's sister was looking after her; leaving her the apartment and money she had at the time. But her sister's death had never sat right with Akiko. She wasn't sure if it was that it still didn't seem real, or if it was that something just didn't add up. In any case, there has always been a cloud of uncertainy surrounding her death. But it's something Akiko doesn't usually like to think about, much less talk about.
Besides, today was going to be difficult enough. Akiko always had a habbit of waking up late, and thus arriving to school late, usually due to her activities the night before, which also frequently resulted in her falling asleep in class. And even when she was awake, she was usually day dreaming anyways. Lastnight had been an earlier night for her than usual, what with the lack of events, so maybe she'd be ontime for once.
