    Held in Beijing, China.

I was wondering who else will be (or already is) watching this, will be keeping up with any of it, and what everyone's general views are.

Do you have any interest in the Olympics?

Do you have any special interest in any particular event(s)?

Have you ever been to the Olympics and/or would you like to go?

Anything you wanna say, positive or negative. Let's share our views. ^_^

I started watching today and I have to say that the opening ceremony has been one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. It's one of those things were I sit back and think "I wish I was a part of that".

And I'm absolutely loving the scroll design of the podium!!

And the giant torch is excellent!!

And don't forget that the Closing Ceremony is on Sunday (again, BBC One) at 12:00!!

    So that's:

    Sunday, 24th August 2008 @ 12:00 ~ Closing Ceremony

    Enjoy, dudes!!

I think the games have been good so far. And Team GB has been brilliant so far too. They had something to prove before the 2012 London Olympics to show we deserve to host it. And we've done that so far.

Aww, that's a shame. Maybe you can catch it on the iPlayer or re-runs or something?

Yeah, Team GBR did really well (as did many others). These Games always amaze me!! I'd love to be able to do some of the things they're capable of!

But I don't think London 2012 is gonna match Bejing 2008 in regards to the Opening Ceremony or the amazing stadiums and technology they've been using. But I guess we'll see, ne?

    Hehe!!

    Blown away again!!

    That was awesome!!

The fireworks were just amazing!! Again. =p

I have loved the cloud theme going on all over the costumes, tools, etc though-out the games.

London's Segment was a little bit of a let-down. Boris Johnson didn't seem to know what he was doing and he just annoyed me. Especially when he decided it was appropriate to walk-off with his hands in his pockets!! Idiot!!

And then there was our beyond stupid looking logo for 2012...

But the music was funky, and it was great to see a tranforming bus, Leona Lewis, and Jimmy Page (who was awesome)!!

But the start of it looked too stero-typical, which is something most people in England (including me) complain about. So I wish that part had been more fun and more up-to-date.

That does worry me for 2012. I really hope they bring things into the present and up-to-speed by then.

Anyways, the rest of the Bejing show was great!! And I love, love, loved seeing Jackie Chan out there and he got to sing, which was fun!!

Massive welldone to everyone involved! Of course to the athletes themselves, but also to the Ceremony performers, the planners, the volunteers, and all those people you never get to see behind the scenes.

    It was an awesome Olympics!!

    ^_^
