by Okay, now I wanna make a post about a different kind of "new recruit". Obviously, we're still looking for more members (and we always will be - the more, the merrier). But I wanna talk about future staff.
As it stands, I'm the only member of staff. And it has crossed my mind a few times now about recruiting some Moderators.
I wanted to wait until we had more members, but with my net situation being a bit dodgy at the moment, and the prospect of holidays, 'n' stuff, I've been forced to think about recruiting earlier than planned.
I don't mind. I just didn't wanna give anyone forum responsibilities unless I had to. But I actually think it might be better getting people started whilst the forum isn't too busy, as new staff (especially those who've never staffed anywhere else before) will have a chance to find their way around at their own pace and get comfortable and confident in their new enviroment and duties.
Lol! I just realised how formal this post sounds! Haha!! Don't worry; it's not really. I just wanted to make things as clear as possible. ^_^;
We're all friends here, and I believe in fun!! And, well, most of you know how much of a total goof-off (or should that be goof-ball) I am myself, I'm sure you know better than to expect me to run a "tight-ship". =p
Annnyways, this post has turned-out longer than I planned. So I'll wrap it up now.
Basically, if you're interested in becoming a Moderator then just send me a PM. Don't reply in here, k (this topic is open for discussion, but any "applications" need to be PM'd to me)!? PM me and tell me why you wanna be a Mod (don't worry, it's not a compeition; I'm just interested - so it can be as serious or stupid as ya like).
Please remember to include what sections you're interested in Modding too. It doesn't matter how many, but please put them in a listed order of your favourites.
What'll also help is letting me know if there are any reasons you wanna Mod particular sections. Like, because you have a strong interest in it or something.
If you doubt your reasons are "strong enough"; don't worry. You've got nothing to lose by going for it anyway. Maybe you're just looking for some Modding experiance? Whatever your reasons; lemme know. And chill.
This forum is here for fun!! Fun for it's members, and fun for it's staff!! So don't stress over anything, and, if you don't get picked for anything; don't let it bother you.
And don't forget that, as this forum grows, I'll need more staff. So even if you don't get through this time; you might get a surprise PM at a later date.
