Joey likes to keep to himself some of the time, but he does like to have fun. He often puts his input into a conversation that he is not involved in. he can be amusing, but does know when to be serious. Joey likes nothing better than to be at the controls of his spider-like VT

    Background:
Joey Strider comes from a family that likes nothing better than VTs. His father, Walter Strider, had been part of the Faction known as The Redeemers. For a while, they had been unbeatable in the Wargames. Times change, they were unbeaten for 3 yrs. Joey was 9 when their streak began. Joey loved it when his dad and his faction fought, even if they lost. Walter had often told Joey that he often said to him how he wanted to join The Redeemers when he was able to. Ever since that day, which was before Joey could remember, his father had been teaching him all about VTs, and eventually made him his own personal mechanic.

Joey never liked the design of the current VTs, so he decided to improvise on previous designs. He has often seen VTs with four legs, instead of the usual two. He liked the idea of multiple legs, but decided to go overboard. It is because of this that his VT has eight legs. Being the son of Walter, who was probably one of the best VT pilots of his time, Joey was often given enough money to buy many of the parts he needed for his VT. By the age of fourteen, he had already completed his mech. After a few test runs, he decided he really liked it. Since that day, he has modified his work, improving it all the time.

When he was 20, his father went on a mission against The Wolf Pack. His father never came back. He knew he should’ve gone with him, but his father wouldn’t let him, he said it was too dangerous for a rookie. The Redeemers were no more, aside from Joey who had joined just 2 years previous.

    VT abilities:
Wallclimb: being modeled after a spider, Joey’s VT can climb vertical walls, although it cannot climb anything more than 90 degrees easily.

Hover: using the booster jets in its feet, Joey can make the Spider hover at around 8 stories high.

Speed boost: using four legs to hover, at only half the height, Joey can use the remaining four to boost himself along at higher speeds.

Self-righting: if the Spider is flipped onto its back, the body will move up the legs to the other end, essentially righting itself. However, Joey will be upside down for the duration. He is working on getting gyro-stabilizers fitted, which will turn the cockpit the right way up, even when the VT is upside down.

Melee-mode: the Spider stands up on its back 4 legs, its front four feet change into hands capable of holding its four concealed blades. In this form, it can also use the cannons in its arms.
