London MCM Expo [October] [2009]

The next London Movie Comic Media Expo is coming!!

I'm still on a high from the May Expo, but I'm also already planning for the October Expo!! Hehehe!!

So far, my cosplay plans are for Maka from Soul Eater. =D

Also, I'm kinda hoping to stay up in London this time as it'll be too cold to be going up to Expo in the early morning, and it might save abit of money... or not. I'll have to see when I look into it.

Possibly getting a coach to and from there too, depending on how fares work out between them and the trains. But again, I'll have to see when I actually look at it properly.

Just wondering who else is going, what your cosplay plans are, travel plans, overnight plans, etc. Hehe!!

I'm planning on staying up in London this time. And someone told me it's £230 to stay in the Premier Inn at Excel, but £180 to stay in the Premier Inn at London Beckton.

And they're both the same kinda distance from the Expo, apparently. So, the cheaper the better.

Anyone else got any hotel ideas at all? As I'll be booking mine as soon as possible (which'll be as soon as I have the money - hopefully the end of the month, maybe).

I know the Premier Inn in Beckton. It's right next door to the Beckton DLR station and the train which goes to The Excel!

Seeing I can get to The ExCel easily from home, I may just come from there for The Expo. If anyone wants to stay at mine, they can. Free of charge of course. LOL!

Cosplay

I'm planning on doing Maka [Soul Eater], and a few others in our Expo group (as well as some who prolly won't be wandering around with us, but that we'll be seeing/meeting with up there), also wanna do Soul Eater characters.

So I figured maybe we could make this a group cosplay event and pick all characters from Soul Eater?

Of course, you don't have to. I just thought it'd be cool. =D

Anyways, let us know what character(s) you'd be interested in cosplaying for the next Expo. It'd be cool if we could get a bunch of different characters, but if someone's picked a character you really wanna do, then there's no reason you can't still do it as well. Just it'd look cooler if we had one of each. XD

But yeah, let us know which character(s) you wanna do (this includes even if it's not Soul Eater) coz I can list them in this thread. =D

Look on the mcm site and go on hotels link you will find it there.

idea do a cosplay in the morning change to anthoer in the afternoon and another for the party and repeat on sunday.

So, October Expo has been and gone. Thoughts?

I had a great time, but at the same time, it wasn't quite as good as May. To me, if was mainly because I got bored walking around inside doing, basically, nothing.

Don't get me wrong, I love looking at all the merchandise, but I also like to meet people, play games, do dances, get into congas, take photos... everything.

But I felt like I had to follow the others around coz everytime I tried to stop and talk to someone, or take their picture, the group I was with would just carry on without me and I'd end-up seperated from them.

Next time, I still wanna go in groups, but I'm not gonna "follow" anyone for too long. I wanna spend more time outside and having fun. ^^

I also already have a bunch of other groups I have to meet with, so I'll be springing around here, there, and everywhere!! =D

There was some sense of the event just... lacking this time around. Hard to explain, but, from what I've heard around the net, I'm not the only one who feels that way.

October Expo was still awesome though!! I still loved it and I loved cosplaying Maka!! I really can't wait to use it again.
