by Do any of you guys know how to sew and stuff?
I wanna learn so I can make my own costumes and clothes.
Just trying to find out how most people learn, if there are any good books I should get, what the best kinds of sewing machines are, how do I go about making my own patterns, anything really.
So far I have the Sew Everything Workshop book/folder, and I'm also getting the Complete Book Of Sewing too.
I came across Sew Everything Workshop on Amazon and it also came highly recommended for beginniners. I haven't read through it fully yet, but it's got a few patterns and projects, as well as lots of advice on buying sewing machines, and alot of tips.
And I came across the Complete Book Of Sewing at work on Saturday and had a look through and it's full of great tips, and step-by-step diagrams of certain cuts and stiches, and lots about how to make certain things. So I think that'll be a great help. =)
