Do you know what it’s like to watch someone from afar?
Do you know what it’s like to grow closer to them each day?
Do you know what it’s like to wonder who they are?
Do you know what it’s like to want to be there, come what may?

Do you know what it’s like to want to tell them how you feel?
Do you know what it’s like to feel the fear of losing them?
Do you know what it’s like to feel a love for them so real?
Do you know what it’s like to be their friend?

Do you know what it’s like to tell them your deepest feeling?
Do you know what it’s like to feel relief for what you’ve done?
Do you know what it’s like to have you head still reeling?
Do you know what it’s like to feel like you have won?

Do you know what it’s like to watch them with another?
Do you know what it’s like to see them hurt?
Do you know what it’s like to see them smothered?
Do you know what it’s like to see them treated like dirt?

Do you know what it’s like to hold your tongue?
Do you know what it’s like to sit on your hands?
Do you know what it’s like to know that what you see is wrong?
Do you know what it’s like to wish that the pain ends?

Do you know what it’s like; just tell me how?
