haveing read alot more of the predator novels and background, they are SWEET!!!!.... would def. be my choice.... not mention i could play a marine if we go that storyline

I just miss RPing.

I've been thinking about rewriting some of my RPs to make them more workable. We really need to get more active members that enjoy RPing

for sure..... then again, this would prolly be the only thing i WANT to do right now.... not wow, not CO... not anything

We need to give them a kick start.

Do you guys wanna keep them going, or start them over? It's been so long since we RP'd properly together.

I think starting over might be a good idea, if you ask me.

I don't mind either way, but yeah, I think starting over might be best.

Would make sense considering we don't know what to do in each one, now. It might be worth creating an archive for the ones we got, in case we want parts of specific posts from them.

I'm going to have to go over this thread from beginning to end and sort a few things out.

In the mean time, I've had another idea for an RP. What if the Nostromo made it back to Earth? What if Ripley hadn't survived? In case it's not obvious to everyone, I'm proposing a "What if.." RP. I would hope I don't need to tell everyone that I'm basing it on Alien

I would love an Alien based RP. Though I'd always thought of setting on in space. But I've never actually written one up. ^^;

I love it to have an element of horror to it. So that'd require a different kind of writing, which I think could be really interesting, and something new for me to learn.

The reason I thought of a "what if..." is because you don't really hear anything about a drone being able to mature into a queen should there not be one present. Obviously this hive would be a little more successful than the one featured in the first AvP. If it gets set in space, then we run the risk of it turning out to be short, in comparison to some of our previous RPs.

How canon is that though? The only thing I've heard about it is something I read from an Alien site (when reading up on the super facehugger):

"From AVP games and movies, an Alien drone (examples include Specimen 6) can still molt into a Queen if cut off from the hive or the current Queen dies so the super facehugger is not a necessary life cycle of a Queen."

But, to be honest, I don't remember it at all. You know how I suck at the games, so I might've missed it from there. But the movies!? Since when!?

Actually, let's move the Alien talk to an Alien thread... this one.

I started writing the RP last night, but I had to stop because it was sounding more like the intro for a story, lol.

I love intros. I hate writing them myself because I never think they're good enough. But I love story-like intros. ^^

I just thought, this is going to be a little more challenging than I thought. What's stopped me is the pivotal point in the story... and I think I found it; the self destruct

If you don't mind I'm going to base it on the book, which will make more difference than you think.

choj,why dont you pop in on a saturday night, over at the stud com centre, ok so they are minis but they either have or can be made into rp. Blatent plug 6th Aug at 6.30 pm. Subject are fantasy history sci fi all thing zombie & steam punk
