"I'll go!!" Both Alex's chirp as they stand from their seats, raising a hand in the air.

And with a glare at eachother and the folding of their arms, they then sit right back into their seats again just as fast as they'd gotten out of them.

"It's gonna be a looooong night." Alex groans to himself.

"You said it." The other Alex groans too, neither one of them looking at eachother as they complain.

Rebecca thinks about suggesting they both play, but dismisses the thought quickly as it could just make things worse if they end-up actually competing with one another.

Joey looks at Alex, giving him a "just get on with it" kind of look, and Alex lets out a heavy sigh.

"I'm getting a drink." He says, raising from his seat again, placing his hands in his pockets. "You still drinking the same kinda crap as always?" He asks the other Alex as he pauses beside her.

He only allows himself a short glance down at her, not making time for any real eye contact.

"M...mm." The other Alex nods, unfolding her arms, surprised he's even offering.

As Alex comes back with the drinks, Raime takes a sudden turn for the bar and bumps into him, spilling the drinks all over Raime.

"Whoa, sorry about that." Alex mumbled.

"No problem." Raime answered in a relaxed tone.

Alex then went back to his group, after getting a new drink.

"Yeah, don't bother me, and I won't bother you, either. That's the way to go." Raime thought as he looked at Alex.

Raime got a beer from the bar and then sit on one of the far-off tables. He got the guitar off his back and put it on one of the chairs. He pulled a notebook from one of the pockets and he leaned over it like he was sleeping. After a while he started drawing on it. He noticed people staring at him, but didn't consider that important.

Francis watched as Alex left to get drinks, leaving the rest of them sitting down. Whilst this did serve to alleviate some of the awkward tension, it was still present.
"Joey, you play?" Francis asked as he offered his cue.
"Hell yeah, I play any chance I get." He replied enthusiastically.
"Good, then you're up. Alex, how about you give him a game?" Francis said as he went and sat down with his drink.

In a far distant land, a lone figure looks out over the tranquil mountains that had long been his home with a calm face of quiet adoration. His small log cabin, built by his own hands, stood behind him. For a few moments, he stood unmoving. Suddenly, his head snapped to one side as his focus suddenly changed. There was nothing significant to see in that direction, however something had obviously taken his attention. His calm face did not change. He turned on his heels and walked purposefully to his cabin. He opened the door and let it swing as he headed straight for a messy corner of his cabin. On his walls, about this corner, were a plethora of notes, diagrams and drawings of various symbols, objects and places. A desk sat underneath a double wide window. The state of his desk was pretty much the same as his walls, with the addition of a couple of books. The books belonged on one of the several stacks of books that stood next to the desk. The man opened one of the books from the desk and thumbed through a few pages before closing the book and putting it back down on the desk. His expression of sheer calm was replaced by a more puzzled one. He bent down next to the stacks as he looked at the spines. He saw the one he wanted. It was several books down in a middle stack. He grasped at it, knocking a few books from the surrounding stacks in the process. He opened it from the back and thumbed back several pages. He stared for a few moments at the crude drawing in front of him. The drawing depicted the emergence of seven powerful, colossal creatures. He left this book and opened up a draw in the desk. Inside this draw was a lone, hard-covered, book that was bound with slim leather strips. The figure removed the book from the draw and opened it. Frantically written entries sat on more than half of the pages. Nearer the back of the crudely made book were blank pages; he went too far. He turned the pages back until he got to the last entry.
“It’s almost time. But I still need one more...” He mumbled to himself as he closed the book and looked out of the window.
